SolarWinds is a different kind of software company. Rather than sell to CIOs through a large and expensive outside sales force, we sell directly to the user through our inside-only sales team. We are looking for a skilled analyst to partner with our sales teams in measuring and operationalizing our customer-focused sales outreach.

 

The Sales Operations Analyst will join the corporate Business Analytics team, reporting to the Director of Sales Operations. Primary responsibilities will involve supporting sales teams through data warehouse expertise / efforts and some Salesforce administration. The analyst will work with projects across the sales organization to provide teams with data for analysis, reporting, and various sales outreaches (list generation and customer sales support). The analyst will measure performance across sales teams, design and update Tableau dashboards to present new findings, and manage various ad hoc research requests. SQL experience, problem-solving and resourcefulness are key qualities, as aspects of support involve troubleshooting data disparities within complex systems, and researching data across multiple channels, geographies and sales teams. It is critical that all data and conclusions are delivered on-time and accurately to key stakeholders within the organization.

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the customer sales teams with managing account assignments, building performance reports, and proactively sharing performance summaries with the teams
  • Carefully track changes in weekly account assignments, alerting managers to potential conflicts or recommended changes
  • Support sales performance reporting, partnering closely with various sales teams to understand their organization’s priorities and data needs
  • Work on various ad hoc Salesforce administration projects with primary emphasis on alignment of data between the data warehouse and SolarWinds Salesforce
  • Develop and deliver Tableau dashboards and detailed monthly and quarterly results summaries to management team. Work with key stakeholders to develop and refine KPIs to adapt with changing business needs
  • Propose projects and reports that we should implement – backed by data
  • Intake and address ad hoc list requests from our global sales teams, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in data
  • Partner with customer marketing to ensure programs and outreach are aligned and facilitate program implementation

Qualifications

  • 2+ year’s experience in Salesforce administration and/or business analytics or a similar analytical field
  • SQL experience is preferred 
  • Salesforce certification not required, but helpful
  • Excellent skills in self-audit – careful documentation of process, cross-check for accuracy of data used in analysis, and ability to interpret results to verify accuracy or identify anomalies.
  • Passion for analytics and driving to results. Desire to help drive immediate improvement in business results based on the results of analysis
  • Strong Excel skills and proven ability with reporting programs and collecting data for research.
  • Experience with Tableau is a definite plus.
