We are currently seeking a Sr. Director, Sales who will be responsible for learning and executing on the Solarwinds sales model; selling software consistently and predictably to achieve pre-determined sales quotas and targets while ensuring a satisfied customer and partner base to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory. As an operating member of the Americas Sales leadership team, the Sr. Director, Sales will assist in the development and execution of specific in-country people and business development strategies that are aligned with the Solarwinds Sales Model and deliver agreed upon revenue results. This position will report into the Senior Vice President Sales – Americas. 

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Solarwinds Sales Model selling software consistently and predictably to achieve pre-determined sales quotas and targets while ensuring a satisfied customer and partner base to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory.
  • Attract, manage, develop, and retain high performing sales managers and sales teams
  • Achieving sales targets for SolarWinds products, solutions and initiatives within specific time frames across multiple market segments
  • Using Salesforce.com as a sales management productivity tool and champion its use with the Sales Representative and Sales Engineering
  • Providing timely and accurate business forecasts to sales and executive management
  • Building and effectively leading a sales organization through hiring, training, development, and daily goal/objective setting
  • Manage a mid to high-level direct and channel partner business transactions and relationships
  • Working closely with other cross-functional management teams in marketing, product, and finance operations to achieve efficiency and sustainability in Asia’s operations
  • Executing on appropriate internal and external processes 

Qualifications

 

  • Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build and motivate a sales organization to ensure both short and long term goals, objectives and quotas
  • Ability to understand sales numbers and manage to daily sales metrics
  • Ability to make daily adjustments to maintain deal velocity and momentum
  • Ability to understand and communicate business concepts
  • Ability to adapt to changing business issues and requirements

Experience Required: 

  • Minimum of 7 years in a quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement
  • 3- 4 years sales management experience
  • Ability to lead, motivate and execute with a team of inside sales, channel account managers and managerial resources
  • Proven ability to recruit, train and scale against aggressive growth targets
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • BS/BA preferred
