Overview

The Principal Product Manager Papertrail is responsible for strategic market analysis, competitive research, and defining a product roadmap that will drive aggressive product revenue growth in our SaaS log management product. You will define and execute on a product business plan and work with product marketing on GTM activities to maximize. 

 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record understanding dynamic markets, making plans that generate results, and working with the leadership team to align execution to market opportunity.  We are looking for a candidate who will understand our overall SaaS portfolio (http://www.solarwinds.com/cloud-monitoring) and apply our portfolio strategy to optimize a product line.

Responsibilities

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY

You are truly the General Manager for your product. This means it's up to you to define a successful strategy and product roadmap, to work with Engineering and others to execute on that strategy. You are also responsible for evangelizing your products, defining roadmaps, working with the Product Owner on breaking down user stories, delivering webinars, conducting analyst briefings, and enabling sales.

 

  • Drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SolarWinds Papertrail product. 
  • Execute product strategy and implementation by working closely with the distributed engineering team.
  • Deliver delightful user experiences and solutions
  • Agile product delivery through feature definition and releases, with an emphasis on rapid time to market.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to build and execute business plans for maximizing revenue growth
  • Be a product evangelist with customers, prospects, analysts, partners, and employee

Qualifications

  • 2+ years software product management experience in IT Management with a focus on SaaS models and subscription businesses.
  • Experience developing, deploying or managing applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, or delivering cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience in working with distributed engineering team in agile development
  • Experience with open-source technologies
  • Experience driving great user experiences that solve critical customer problems
  • Solid communicator across a span of technical and business stakeholders.
  • Track record balancing the conceptualization of strategic initiatives with tactical execution.
