We are looking for an intelligent, critical thinking Content Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will build out a content marketing strategy and manage the development of content that drives forward our SolarWinds MSP business. Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional with a strong writing and content background. He or she should be able to work with key stakeholders including product marketing, campaigns (including social & digital) and design teams to develop engaging content to attract and retain customers. For this position, it’s also essential to be up-to-date with new technologies and marketing trends.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage content marketing initiatives to include the overall strategy for content assets, and planning of themes and specific content campaigns to achieve business targets
  • Deliver measurably engaging content on a regular basis to support campaign team member programs
  • Build out and execute against a robust content strategy and calendar that feeds across all channels (online and offline)
  • Work with Content Marketing Manager, Execution, to ensure effective and consistently evolving measurement of content performance to ensure continual success
  • Assist with editing, improving and writing content as needed
  • Manage blog program, schedule, and assignments to contributors
  • Oversee copy development for planned assets including, but not limited to: infographics, white papers, eBooks, and research studies
  • Oversee development of site copy including, but not limited to: marketing landing pages, product pages and descriptions, and general company pages
  • Manage a team of writers to include 1 FTE,1 on-site contractor, and a team of 2-3 freelancers
  • Build out and enforce a company-wide style guide that all departments must adhere to when writing and producing content

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of content marketing experience, preferably in the technology industry
  • Previous work experience working in both written and digital content
  • Strong writing and editorial skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office 
  • Understanding of web site best practices
  • Hands on experience with content performance management and reporting
  • Previous experience managing projects on time and in budget
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English
  • BA degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
