This role is for an experienced senior manager who:

  • Is a partner to the business on improving performance through learning
  • Draws from personal experience as a sales person to credibly teach others to sell effectively
  • Builds and delivers interactive and engaging learning solutions in multiple formats (instructor-led, digital, and on-the-job)
  • Is an engaging facilitator and coach
  • Has a passion for the fast-pace and intensity of the sales floor

Responsibilities

Key requirements:

  • Own the sales learning strategy and curriculum design, as well as execution of the same, for the global MSP organization
  • Assess needs, design, deliver and evaluate sales on-boarding, continuing education and skills building programs
  • Design and develop timely and effective learning solutions in multiple formats (iLT, viLT, digital formats, performance supports, and on-the-job development)
  • Leverage expertise in instructional systems design, the software business, and inside sales acumen to custom build and deliver highly consumable content on sales processes, sales skills, product and technical training
  • Serve as program manager for the new hire on-boarding program, continuing education initiatives, product release training, and product certifications; responsible for localization, coordination, design, development, delivery, evaluation and ongoing analysis for constant improvement
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders including sales leaders, sales engineers, product marketing, renewals, and L&D
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on our MSP products, including the underlying technology, customer personas and pain points, use cases, etc.
  • Make optimal use of our internal knowledge management systems, business applications and learning management systems for program coordination including registration, assignments, tracking, reporting, testing, and evaluation

  • Instructional Design: strong working knowledge of how adults in general - and salespeople specifically – learn; can translate learning needs into learning objects that measurably achieve required objectives
  • Initiative: able to solve problems and ask for help when needed in order to independently move self and projects forward, in a fast paced, high volume culture
  • Sales Acumen: understanding of prospects and a sense of how to approach a sale
  • Communication: crisp, compelling and practical style of writing, editing, speaking
  • Program Management: able to prioritize, scope, plan, and execute to independently move projects forward in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Technical Knowledge: business-level understanding of MSPs as well as IT concepts including networking and systems management
  • Confidence: executive presence to credibly and confidently work with reps and sales leadership in and out of the classroom
  • Facilitation: strong facilitation skills that drive high levels of participant engagement
  • Collaboration: able to partner with the business to identify and address the root causes of performance needs to improve sales metrics

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ experience designing and delivering sales on-boarding and training programs, ideally in a software or sales environment
  • Experience as a sales rep (ideally inside sales rep) is a strong plus
  • Ability to travel frequently to Canada and Western Europe
  • Experience in a fast-paced, iterative organization
  • Demonstrated passion for sales training
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
