Job Description:

We are looking for application developers, engineers, and DevOps resources that want to help their peers succeed in the use of our products, help them solve technical issues, and assist them through the purchasing process.


Do you:

If you love solving problems for your customers, thrive on a fast paced environment, and enjoy owning customer relationships end-to-end, this may be your next role! The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and self-motivated with a proven track record in application development, engineering or support. Experience in customer-facing roles is important as you will be the primary point of contact.

Product Advocates (PAs) work in a non-traditional inside sales environment in either our Austin, TX or Durham, NC office. PA’s leverage their technical experience, deep product knowledge, and sales skills to help new and existing customers derive the most value from SolarWinds cloud solutions. This role requires a unique balance of technical depth and communication skills as you will be challenged in being the primary contact for your customers, yet still maintain deep engineering skillsets and product knowledge. Deep application experience with a strong linux background, are important too as we focus on hiring engineers and DevOps resources to help their peers realize their goals and solve their problems with the SolarWinds toolset.

  • Application Development, DevOps, and Linux.
  • 1+ years in relevant, technical, customer-facing pre or post sales role.
  • Background in B2B or B2C sales, engineering, or support.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Programming Languages (Ruby, Python, Unix shell, or other scripting languages)
