    The Marketing organizaiton is looking for a Data & Automation Analyst to be part of our Marketing Automation team. This database expert will be responsible for data querying and manipulation, segmentation, and analytics across all marketing technologies like our data warehouse, Marketo and more.

     

    SolarWinds is a rapidly growing IT software company in Austin, TX where this position is located. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work well cross-functionally, be organized and a self- starter with experience in querying and analyzing marketing data in a fast paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Leverage expert SQL programming skills to run extensive data queries across large volumes of data, multiple data extensions, and campaign history, and modify existing queries to meet requirements of request
    • Experience with updating stored procedures, and Begin Transaction/Commit/RollBack statements.
    • Understand object oriented coding to help with defining business needs to the Biz Apps team
    • Develop expert knowledge of current DB architecture, automation and processes and recommend ongoing process improvements.
    • Leverage strong interpersonal skills with Marketing and other stakeholders in gathering information to determine specification requirements for data requests, reports, and ongoing utility.
    • Perform routine database audits that includes review of business rules, data validation and augmentation, merging and purging duplicate records, etc.
    • Work continuously with cross-functional teams to enhance/optimize the data model to accelerate information, reporting, and insights while ensuring accuracy.

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated strong Excel skills using formulas and pivoting data
    • 4+ yrs experience working with and analyzing large data sets
    • Bachelor degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline preferred
    • Strong working knowledge of SQL
    • Ability to communicate results clearly and a demonstrated focus on driving growth
    • Experience with Marketo or other Marketing Automation tools

    Preferences: 

    • Prior experience with Marketing Automation, Marketing Operations or Sales Operations a plus
    • Marketo and Saleforce integration experience preferred
