    SolarWinds has an opportunity available for a Federal Capture Manager to support Federal Defense and Civilian Agencies. This position will be focused on executing our Federal sales plan, capture management, and bid and proposal activities.


    • Responsible for the capture management of Federal opportunities, cradle- to- grave
    • Create and execute win strategies for assigned opportunities.
    • Conduct sales presentations to Federal partners and customers.
    • Work effectively across internal business units and with Federal partners to drive Solarwinds investments and activity
    • Perform market analysis, identify opportunities, develop and execute capture plans, and monitor competitor activity for each capture.
    • Develop call plans to effectively communicate the SolarWinds value proposition to industry and respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
    • Experience qualifying opportunities in collaboration with sales teams
    • Manage transition from opportunity discovery to proposal process
    • Manage capture execution
    • Keeps informed on SolarWinds technology and the other general information
    • Regularly provide updates and reporting to Solarwinds management on status, prospects, pipeline activity, and bookings through Federal partners
    • Representing SolarWinds message at seminars, trade shows and partner meetings


    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or 10+ years of professional experience
    • Business development, capture, proposal and/or contracting experience within the Federal Civilian and Department of Defense Markets
    • Ability to identify opportunities across a broad range of IT functions
    • Experience managing and writing proposals in response to government RFPs
    • Demonstrated ability to capture business
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Proactive, attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
