  • Responsibilities

    • Manage the Federal Strategic Sales\BD team
    • Drive net new revenue through Federal Strategic Accounts and manage our largest implementations ensuring customer success and adoption\utilization of Solarwinds products
    • Work with Channel partners, FSI's to promote SolarWinds solutions and capture program based initiatives
    • Meet or exceed quarterly sales quota
    • Develop and manage teams pipeline and provide weekly forecast updates
    • Develop and execute a Strategic Sales business plan that leverages cross functional departments including support, marketing, ISR's and Product Management
    • Provide guidance and direction to Executive management on account status, emerging trends, cloud adoption and competitive situations
    • Lead from the front with direct customer interaction, negotiate contracts, build customer rapport
    • Be a contributing member of the Federal management team with a keen eye on driving growth across the business

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 10+ years of Federal sales experience
    • 5 + Years of sales management experience
    • Thorough understading of key Federal programs and initiatives
    • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
    • Proven track record of sales performance and leading a team
    • Comfort with an enterprise and transactional sales model
    • Experience and credibility selling at the CxO and senior sales business manager level
    • Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses
    • Executive and professional presence
    • High intellect and the capacity to multi task
    • Excellent qualifying, communication and closing skills
    • Business development, prospecting skills and ability to build strong partner relationships
    • Experience across Intel, DoD and Civilian preferred
    • Bachelor's Degree or Higher
    • Proficiency with SalesForce.com, MS Excel and Word

     

    Must be willing to work out of the SolarWinds - Federal Office in Herndon, VA on a daily basis. Geographic proximity desirable. Periodic travel required.
