    We have an opening in our Herndon, VA office for a Federal Sales Development (SDR) Manager, reporting directly to the Director - Federal Marketing.  As the Federal SDR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing SolarWinds’ federal inbound lead nurture, and outbound sales prospecting and pipeline growth strategy. You will join a growing team, and will be involved in helping recruit, onboard, and train new hires for success, and mentor and develop the existing SDR team.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the federal SDR team on objectives and performance achievement
    • Monitor lead processes, metrics, and pipeline creation
    • Work with marketing and sales to shape and implement federal SDR strategy, processes, and reporting to accelerate growth of the federal business
    • Build and effectively lead the federal SDR organization through hiring, training, development, and daily, weekly and monthly goal/objective setting
    • Work as a team with marketing and sales leadership to ensure success of all types of campaigns – inbound marketing, outbound prospecting, customer cross-sell, and to drive event and webinar registrations
    • Use Salesforce.com as a sales management productivity tool and champion its use with the Sales Development Reps
    • Work with federal marketing director and business analytics team to develop Salesforce and Tableau dashboards to improve tracking of SDR progress and results
    • Provide timely and accurate business forecasts and reporting to the federal management team
    • Work closely with other cross-functional management teams in sales, sales engineering, and product 

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years’ experience as SDR or inside sales
    • 1+ years of SDR management experience.
    • Strong preference for both inbound and outbound experience
    • Track-record of success managing a high performing SDR or inside sales team
    • Strong understanding of inbound lead nurturing to develop pipeline, as well as outbound pipeline generation processes
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain enthusiasm in their team
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Strong analytical skills, must be comfortable generating reports and identifying trends in data
