  • Overview

    As an HR Business Partner with SolarWinds MSP you are the front line to our employees and functional leaders.  We need someone who can quickly become a trusted advisor across locations including RTP, Boston, San Francisco, Clearwater and Boulder.  You will provide both hands-on and strategic expertise across a broad spectrum of human resource subject matter areas including talent management and retention, employee relations, career development, conflict resolution and workforce planning.


    • Provide HR expertise and leadership to clients in support of business objectives including employee relations, talent management, onboarding, leadership/employee effectiveness, engagement, learning and development, employee communications, change management and compliance.
    • Develop people strategies and design approaches to diagnose and enhance organizational effectiveness with a focus on tangible business outcomes and employee engagement.
    • Identify, define and implement solutions that address the needs of the business while taking into account the broader implications of HR and Company strategy, and impact on other functions.
    • Advise and coach managers and employees, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
    • Identify talent gaps and succession issues before they affect the business. Be a talent scout for internal talent for key positions and help develop the next generation of leaders through talent management and career development.
    • Ensure compliance with company legal and HR practices and with legislative and regulatory requirements, standards and other relevant policies and guidelines. Liaise with legal as appropriate.
    • Provide recommendations and implement solutions to motivate, develop and retain employees.
    • Partner with COEs (HR functional specialists) and global business partner colleagues to develop, implement and communicate programs that align with HR functional goals in the areas of benefits & rewards, performance management, engagement, retention & mobility to build a great place to work.
    • Ensure there is excellent alignment with established human resources policies & procedures in execution of business unit and site HR initiatives.
    • Effectively utilize data to provide relevant, accurate information for both internal clients and HR.


    • Bachelors' degree in human resources, general business or equivalent experience.
    • Strong business acumen and broad HR experience with a proven track record as a business partner, and in collaborating with HR colleagues, functional specialists and internal clients
    • Knowledge of US labor law and employee relations best practices
    • Demonstrated ability to use data to make decisions and support actions
    • Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal style and influence effectively at all levels in the organization.
    • Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Challenges the status quo, always looks for what can be improved
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and maintain strict confidentiality in managing challenging and/or sensitive situations.
    • Ability to establish trust and credibility and act with complete integrity
