    Our corporate office located in Austin Texas due to the growth that we are experiencing, we are hiring a Sales Engineer, Intermediate. As an Associate Sales Engineer, you will provide prospects and sales staff with technical product advice during sales discussions. This position requires the ability to competently perform online technical product installations and demonstrations, during which you must effectively promote product features, answer questions and clearly ascertain the prospect’s technical requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Install and troubleshoot the entire SolarWinds Networking and System Management product portfolios.
    • Provide prospects with assistance during the initial installation phase of their product evaluation
    • Answer prospects’ and customers’ questions related to the SolarWinds product suite.
    • Troubleshoot and solve simple to moderately complex pre-sales support problems.
    • Conduct demonstrations of all SolarWinds products via web meeting technologies with potential customers.
    • Identify and implement strategies to proactively move sales cycles to technical completion.
    • Fully document activities in CRM system.

    Qualifications

    • Qualified applicants will possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or similar area of study, or equivalent work experience in network administration.
    • Possess good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to present products and basic technical concepts in clear manner to customers through online demos.
    • Able to resolve modest pre-sales technical problems including product installations.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows server 2008/2012 and SQL 2012/2014/2016.
    • Basic understanding of TCP/IP based networks.
    • Basic understanding of network and application management protocols including SNMP, SNMP Traps, Syslog, ICMP, WMI.
    • Experience configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) preferred.
    • Experience administering SolarWinds products highly preferred.
