    SolarWinds is hiring a Community Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of our online community, THWACK, which has more than 150,000 members. The person in this role should be a tech-savvy professional with strong writing and communication skills, experience in marketing management, and a good understanding of customer service principals. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) managing the community marketing calendar and programs, content creation, social media management, analytics, coordination with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency, and event planning/management.

    Responsibilities

    • 2 to 3 years of community management or marketing management experience. Working closely with Demand Generation and Customer Marketing, this person will own the community programs strategy and be responsible for implementing and reporting on all marketing programs.
    • Strong writing and communication skills. It's your job to be the voice of the community by listening, contributing to the conversation, and advocating for customer/community needs. Responding quickly and thoroughly across a varity of platforms is required.
    • Organization and ability to adapt to change are a must. We are a fast-paced company that requires excellent documentation of processes, maintaining our marketing program calendar, and ability to prioritize quickly and effectively.
    • Good understanding of social media management. Working closely with our Social Media Team, you will be responsible for monitoring, posting, and responding on the THWACK Twitter handle.
    • Track, identify and interpret community metrics to understand how the community is executing against it's KPIs. Ability to tell user stories through the use of data is highly valued. 
    • Self motivator who goes beyond scraping the surface of every aspect of your job. 

    Qualifications

    • People person who loves interacting with people both online and IRL
    • Creative writing is encouraged
    • Interest in technology/software
    • Event planning experience
    • Basic HTML skills
    • Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe, Tableau, etc.
    • Knowledge of Jive, Lithium, or other online forum platforms
    • Experience with rewards programs and/or gamification systems
