  • Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Subscription Billing Manager who will be responsible for the management of the day to day provisioning to billing process. In this role, you'll be the subject matter expert for all revenue operations processes for the MSP Business and responsible to keep the wheels turning in day to day operations. The scope includes the day to day operations of provisioning, billing and invoice generation tasks and processes. A key element in this role is to have close cooperation and open communication with all Global Sales, Support, Customer Retention, and Collections Teams.


    • Provide leadership, direction, coordination, guidance and facilitation of daily operations related to Billing and Subscription Management team
    • Provide Leadership and Direction to your team as a capable people manager, adopting the Roadmap for Results (R4R) by setting clear expectations, constantly communicating about results, behaviors and the future and developing your team for the next step.
    • Coordinate continuous improvements and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that all billing and provisioning functions are performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner and compliant with all corporate policies.
    • Design, implement, document and enforce consistent billing processes and procedures and quality assurance measures that reduce billing errors and strengthen internal controls
    • Work closely with other functions to proactively manage and resolve business and operational issues in an innovative, efficient and effective manner
    • Ensure SLA metrics are met & well managed with stakeholders.
    • Analysis of complex payment or billing issues and effectively solve problems as well as proactively investigate payment and billing issues and suggest solutions that will enhance the customer experience 
    • Manage the timely completion of month-end close activities related to billing including closing off the Month End at cutoff.
    • Train Internal Business Partners on SolarWinds Order Management programs including policies, procedures and reporting. Address sales and channel team questions and concerns.
    • Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects, acquisition integration, ERP implementation, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned

    • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in subscription billing operations teams, preferably in a global shared services environment and 4+ years’ experience successfully developing and leading a team.
    • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and completeness
    • Proven process improvement, lean methodology experience
    • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate key information and status to stakeholders.
    • Excellent customer service skills required. Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills including the ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations.


    Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
