Overview

The Senior Benefits Analyst will support the benefits strategy for SolarWinds’ employee benefit programs.  This position will report to the Senior Manager, Global Benefits and will take the lead on US benefit programs, overseeing program evaluation, implementation, communication, and administration.  This is a hands-on position that will involve analysis and project management of a variety of programs including retirement/pension, Health & Welfare, disability and time away programs, amongst others.  The Senior Benefits Analyst will interact with HR Operations, Payroll, Finance/Accounting, and various external vendors in the deployment and administration of employee benefit plans and programs.  Additional global benefit program responsibilities may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 401(k) plan operations, acting as the primary point of contact for the plan record keeper, and performing monthly data audits with payroll; ensure 401(k) plan compliance by working with vendors to complete the annual compliance / non-discrimination testing, the employer match true-up, the plan audit, and annual 5500 filings
  • Program manage annual benefits open enrollment,  ensuring all deadlines are met by all parties, testing the enrollment system, updating plan related documents in the enrollment system, assisting with the preparation and delivery of open enrollment communications, and ensuring that carrier file feeds are delivered and loaded correctly
  • Create the quarterly employer HSA funding files, obtain internal approvals, and ensure amounts are loaded correctly to employee accounts
  • Program manage the implementation of any new US employee benefit programs
  • Monitor US employee benefit vendors to ensure high levels of service are provided to employees
  • Partner with legal on benefits related matters in the employee handbook and other policy documents
  • Partner with HRBPs and legal on matters related to leaves of absence and ADA accommodation requests
  • Oversee wellness programs, including annual biometric screenings, health fairs, and flu shot clinics
  • Estimate the annual invoice costs for each vendor and work with HR Ops to request POs and ensure bills are paid timely
  • Serve as escalation point for HR Operations and Payroll on employee benefit plan questions
  • Create annual holiday calendar for all countries
  • Primary point of contact for the global expat benefit program
  • Additional global responsibilities will be added based on capacity and business need

Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of experience working with employee benefit programs
  • Strong knowledge of 401(k) plans, Health Savings Accounts, and benefits enrollment systems is required
  • Candidates with global benefits experience are preferred
  • Proficient working with Excel to evaluate data and summarize findings
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear manner
  • Ability to manage projects, self-direct, manage multiple priorities and work in a results oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail
