The SolarWinds Backup Sales Rep’s primary role is meet and exceed revenue goals by hunting and closing net new customers, and upselling or cross selling existing customers.  To be successful, you must understand how to build new relationships with IT Professionals and grow existing relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed revenue goals and objectives by hunting and closing net new customers, and upselling or cross selling existing customers.
  • Qualify and follow up on leads and opportunities daily; set up demos by engaging in technical discussions via conference call or web demonstrations,
  • Effectively train on and present SolarWinds Backup via webinar and in person, at trade shows, and customer events.
  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and technologies, competitive products and technologies, and industry trends. 
  • Maintain and create new quality contacts with key decision makers in your territory
  • Work to maintain high level of customer satisfaction by assisting with customer requests, complaints, and escalations
  • Attend sales meetings, trade shows and training sessions as required. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales or quota carrying role with demonstrated results in the needs-based and consultative selling process
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Salesforce.com MS Office, Outlook
  • Excellent phone/ email /customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, managerial, and personal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers to deliver an exceptional customer experience. 

 

Preferences:

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree, High School Diploma required.
  • Experience selling backup software in a SaaS model and/or broad awareness of the backup/storage/server market.
  • Knowledge of Backup & Disaster Recovery software industry strongly preferred.
