We have an opening in our Herndon, VA office for a Federal Marketing Manager focused on DoD, Federal channel, and FSI marketing, reporting directly to the Federal and National Government Marketing Director.  As the Federal Marketing Manager you’ll be instrumental in the creating demand generation and partner marketing plans, and the daily activities of our Federal Marketing and sales/SE team. You will gain hands on experience by developing and executing on a variety of DoD, Channel and FSI marketing programs, including email, web merchandising, in-person and online events, and report on the performance of each campaign element.


Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for detail and a willingness to work together as a team to meet our deadlines and lead generation goals. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced environment, working on a variety of marketing activities and is able to prioritize based on business goals.


  • Develops and executes quarterly marketing plans for DoD, Channel, and FSIs including activities such as: email, trade shows, webinars, seminars, web merchandising on SolarWinds properties, online advertising, social media, channel programs, and more
  • Works with the Federal and National Government Marketing Director to fulfill both near term and long term lead generation and awareness goals for DoD, Channel, and FSIs
  • Leverages robust analytics to manage to track weekly lead generation goals, adjusting activities based on results & the needs of the sales organization
  • Works closely with marketing and sales management to develop and build account based marketing activities to support sales goals
  • Works closely with the channel sales manager, and DLT to develop and build and execute channel partner marketing plans           


  • 2-5 years of Marketing or sales experience experience; federal/government strongly experience preferred
  • Execution and strategy skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns in a fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to drive and run programs independently from concept creation through execution
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; thrives in collaborative work environments
  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
  • Familiarity with data analysis
  • Ability to assist with management and tracking of budget and PO process
  • The ability to work closely with both the federal team in Herndon, VA and with virtual teams from other offices
