SolarWinds MSP is seeking a talented Director of Demand Generation to drive customer acquisition across Managed IT Service Providers (MSPs) and IT Professionals worldwide.  This is a unique opportunity to own a key leadership role in an exciting, fast-growing business.


The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of digital marketers running integrated cross-channel marketing campaigns, a strong background in audience targeting and segmentation, good familiarity with the capabilities of marketing automation, and hands-on experience driving both new channel testing and the fine tuning of existing channels through A/B testing.


  • Manage a team of 12-15 digital marketers in our Raleigh-Durham and Edinburgh, Scotland offices
  • Define and refine the customer acquisition strategy
  • Identify, acquire, and integrate new partners, tools and technologies to scale demand generation
  • Lead the team in leveraging data and testing to optimize and improve targeting and execution across all channels
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to anticipate new product launches, drive improvements in quality and throughput of inputs to the team, and to bolster data, reporting and forecasting
  • Define, report on, and optimize key metrics pertaining to new customer acquisition


  • 7-10+ years of relevant work experience in digital marketing, demand generation, and/or product marketing roles
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Proven experience building test plans that drive continuous improvement to program conversion
  • Experience spearheading technical projects and gathering requirements across business teams
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and multiple priorities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to present ideas to various levels of an organization and gain support for initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget



  • MBA
  • Experience in B2B, high-tech SaaS organization
  • Experience working across email, display, search, SEO, social, content syndication, affiliate, and referral channels
  • Experience using Salesforce, email marketing platforms and/or marketing automation platforms (Marketo a plus)
  • Experience working with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
